1937 FORD CUSTOM
Using Revells 37 Ford Convertible Street Rod , I buildt this early Ford custom. First thing was to scrap the bulky conv. top that was included in the kit, then I chopped the windsheld frame a bit more than the kits chopjob. I used the Carson top from Revells 48 Ford Convertible, but some mods on the top and body was needed t get it to fit. The doorpanels are made from V- grooved styrene sheets from Evergreen. The dashboard is from a Monogram 53 Chevy with a resin and etch banjo steeringwheel from The Model Car Garage. I added some special mixed flocking on the floor. The kits modern V8 engine was swapped for a time correct flathead from the parts box witch I detailed and wired. The radiator tubes are real copper. I thought that looked cool together with the paint, witch are Testors Color by Boyd Pearl Orange. Frenched bullet taillights in the rear. Wheels are spun aluminum Cadillac Sombreros from The Model Car Garage.
