THE SPEEDSTER:
This model started as an original AMT 1950 Ford Convertible, but has been altered severly, with sectionized body, and the firewall and chopped,angeled window frame has been moved rearwards to give room for the engine witch is a late fifthies Cadillac engine with front mounted Potvin blower. The engine is set about 1" rearwards in the engine bay to accomedate the Potwin blower.
Paint is Testor by Boyds lime pearl on top and fading over to dark green pearl on the sides. Rear bumper is cleaned up originals with removed bumper horns and replated at chrometech USA. Homemade working hinges made from brass. Dashboard is from 59 Chevrolet. Seats and consol from the partbox. The doorsides is made of striped plasticcard. Also the body is converted from a five seated car to a two seated speedster.
